Seminar
A Seminar will be held at the lecture hall at Churchill College on Thursday 30th July, 2009.
The Master of the Rolls has kindly agreed to preside.
There will be two topics, the development of International Criminal Law and Sports Law.
We have been fortunate in securing  Sir Geoffrey Nice Q.C. and Sir Desmond de Silva Q.C. as speakers on the former subject, both with personal experience in this new field of law.
Those scheduled to speak on the question of 'The lawyer in sport' will be Mark Gay, a partner at DLA Piper, Paul David from the New Zealand Bar and The Hon Mr Justice Mukul Mudgal, Justice of the High court of Delhi.
4 CPD points will be available for anyone who would like to attend in addition to those players who will have been enlivened by three consecutive days of cricket.
Enquiries for this seminar, including the obtaining of tickets, should be made to d.rhodes@doughtystreet.co.uk
The Seminar is supported both by Outer Temple Chambers and by the International Committee of the General Council of the Bar, both of whom have donated  generous sums to make the Seminar possible.
